Samplings from the Sea
Make this lovely sampler quilt on a sea theme featuring 13 unique blocks surrounded by a majestic Ocean Waves Border. Learn rotary cutting techniques and many machine piecing tips. Students will make as many blocks as time allows. Intermediate. One or two days. Book required.

Mariner's Compass or Sunflower

Piece either of these intricate blocks easily by using a freezer paper piecing technique or a flip and sew paper piecing method. Creative use of fabric will be demonstrated and encouraged. Intermediate. One day.

Quilts Like Gramma Used to Make
Follow simple guidelines which will help you combine left over scraps and "uglies" into lovely quilts with an aged look reminiscent of the quilts of years gone by. Learn to use many fabrics together creatively. Get a great feeling of accomplishment from creating "something from nothing". Intermediate. One day.

Double Wedding Ring

Simplify this pattern by using quick cutting methods and some paper piecing techniques. Directions will be included for a one pieced arc as well as the traditional pieced arc. How to finish the curved edges with bias binding will also be covered. Intermediate. One day. Booklet fee: $1.00

St. Nicholas Advent Calendarf
A delightful advent calendar with special checkerboard pockets which hold small treats or Christmas ornaments. St. Nicholas's bag is a larger pocket that holds a special treat or tree top ornament. Simple pieced and appliqued blocks. Intermediate. One day. Pattern required.

Interlocking Maple Leaves
Rotary cutting and quick piecing methods make this pattern go together easily; plus it's a great way to use up your scraps. Make a wall hanging or quilt. One day.

Water Color Quilts
We will be studying the special techniques for planning and creating a beautiful watercolor quilt. You will use a wide variety of fabrics, so start collecting early. It will be helpful to have a watercolor picture or idea in mind as you are collecting. Intermediate. One day.

Biblical Blocks
Create a medallion Biblical quilt, as you learn the special methods required for using "striped" border print fabrics in the blocks and borders. Students will work on as many blocks as time permits. Intermediate. One or two days. Book required.

Machine Quilting

Learn machine quilting techniques such as free motion, continuous designs, stippling, trapunto, background quilting, decorative threads and more. One or two days depending on how many techniques are covered.

Mystery Classes
Make an easy, fun scrap quilt by using rotary cutting techniques and quick sewing methods. Choose from flannel, 1930's reproduction fabrics, or Amish (plain) fabrics. The mystery unfolds as we complete each step; but all projects are guaranteed to please.
